USA: We're Approved
CHARACTER APPROVED

The USA Network celebrated their 2nd annual Character Approved Awards in February 2010, honoring artists, entrepreneurs, and innovators at the forefront of modern culture. So, fittingly, they called on L+C—vanguards in our own right—to create a massive video installation to play during the star-studded event.

The gala was held at Frank Gehry's IAC building on the west side of Manhattan, home to the highest resolution video wall in the entire world: a 21-million pixel canvas.

A two-day super slow motion shoot with a Phantom camera provided more than enough material to composite the 6 minute video piece. Honorees included Kathryn Bigelow, Kehinde Wiley, and Green Day. Somebody even saw Jeff Goldblum!
