In creating the show open for Discovery’s Build It Bigger, we were tasked with introducing the show host Danny Forster as well as showcasing Toyota, the show’s sponsor. A man, his truck, and big builds. What we came up with was a cinematic, action-packed piece that crossed a mean-mugged truck commercial with a Michael Bay hero spot. Shot on 35mm in the El Mirage dry lakebed in Southern California and a downtown LA construction site, and coupled with an original music score recorded in Bratislava, the finished project feels just at home in a multiplex as it does on the small screen.
