HGTV was looking to add a competitive, but playful, feel to the Design Star series. We animated the inherent desire of each contestant to make a splash in the design world by capturing splashing paint in interesting and stylistic manners. Through a combination of slow-motion, CG and a custom monochromatic set, we nailed a new brand look for the series.
